New look, new book: time for a reboot!

It’s been a minute! After a long hiatus of getting settled in my new digs, finishing up some things, and, well, a pandemic…I’m back to the site with some updates and plans. This summer, I’ll be updating the site and adding some new elements, some new work, and more regular check-ins. The new format should make it easier to find syllabi, publications, and events. I’ll be getting into a regular mini-essay and story writing practice that I’ll share here, and the posts will feature more original writing and work in progress. All of the material from the previous version of the site is still accessible, but I’ll be updating links and tags and will gradually phase into a more substantive, narrative style of posting. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can check out my new book on translation in early modern China, which is finally out in the world. (The US hardcopy is available for pre-order and will ship on June 8.) This book was years in the making, and some time this summer I’ll have all sorts of things to say about the process and its lessons. In the meantime, if you’re interested in hearing more, please do join us at any of the upcoming events devoted to it, which are free! And online! Just register first!

Lots more very soon, y’all. Stay healthy, get some rest, and be well in the meantime. xo
